We had our reunion dinner at Springcourt in Chinatown. Was it worth the wait? Sadly no. I've always liked Springcourt, but then again, perhaps it's just their dim sum that is nice. There were three dinner sittings at 5.45pm, 7pm and 8.30pm. We booked the 8.30pm slot waaaay back in Dec. Everyone was stuck at the doorway cuz people for the 2nd sitting hadn't finished their dinner yet and that made the 8.30pm crowd rather angry (not us hor). Some aunties were fanning themselves furiously as they shouted at the poor maitre'd, "9 o'clock already! You told us 8.30 leh! Eh, miss, we wait out here for so long! When will we get to eat? What time already?" Come on people...did you seriously think you'd be able to start your dinner ON TIME? It's a chinese thing to start late la. Just look at wedding dinners. Anyway, I don't think it pays to be rude to the servers at restaurants...I just don't fancy my yu sheng with spittle...
