evan's milestones to date (7 months)

7 weeks:
You started smiling! Seeing you smile warms my heart and makes the pains and troubles of breastfeeding melt away. Your smile came just in time...when motherhood was starting to get a little monotonous. It feels like a reward to see you smile at me :)

9 Weeks:
You respond to us saying "woo" to you! And it is hilarious! I was glad I captured it on video :) Unfortunately, you were also down with flu at that time.

10 Weeks:
You slept through the night for the first time! It was so weird waking up one day and realizing you didn't cry for your night feeds. It made my breasts engorged, but it's a small sacrifice to pay for 7 hours of sleep! Now at 7 months, on average, you sleep about 10 - 12 hours a night :) And sometimes you cry in your sleep, as if having a bad dream. We usually wait and see if you'll cry until your nose is blocked before picking you up. The last thing we want to do is wake you from your sleep you see...

14 Weeks:
Introduction of the bumbo seat!

17 weeks:
You've learnt to flip over, "hold" your milk bottle, enjoy a game of peekaboo and most importantly...laugh!

18 Weeks:
You started doing the "mmm" sound

19 Weeks:
You're able to "self-feed" with supervision!

20 Weeks:
You've mastered the art of rolling over from both sides. You make really funny attempts at crawling but most of the time, you end up "pushing" yourself backwards. Your tummy's off the ground, legs as straight as possible, butt in the air, with your face downwards and ploughing your way through the pillows. You can stand upright while clinging onto our fingers. It looks like being upright is your favourite position! You stick your tongue out and it's cute!

21 weeks:
You're able to say "mmaa" but it's not because you recognise that as mummy. haha and you do the goldfish mouthing thing. Cute! You've also "discovered" your toys and started playing with them...still trying to learn how to crawl properly and you react to baby faces in books! heehee

And this is the reason why you're sleeping on a baby mattress on the floor at Kongkong's place:

Ready...set....STAND!

I'll bite my way out if you won't carry me!
