Krazy Khoos
The flight of steps leading to some children's playground in the middle of the maze of tunnnels...just a simple flight of steps to us, but it could’ve been life and death for some during WWII.
Take it one step at a time
The swings near the bunkers. They were so much fun :)
This is the bunker where tired British soldiers had to keep a look out for enemy ships. The silhouettes of ships on the left column were enemy ships. Those on the right were those of the British.
Haro? Haro? Siang ka pager?
What's he looking at?
Spank me! Harder! Harder!
We explored the underground complex where ammunition for Fort Siloso’s cannons were stored and kept. The tunnels led to a gun control tower which had a 6-inch cannon.
The tunnel where heroes once tread
Loading the ammunition was sheer hard work. Johnson here looked like he needed some help. I was probably getting in the way :/
Fort Siloso still bristles with cannons but now they stand silent - a haunting monument of a British mistake.
A cannon that was once buried by the British to prevent the invading Japanese troops from getting their hands on it

Sometimes in life, you have to slow down and smell the...ferns
The fall of Singapore documented on these walls…

Evidence that we did try to soak in the history of Fort Siloso and it wasn't just a photo-whoring opportunity :P
Psuedo-Japanese Tourist
Glimpses of a soldier’s life serving at Fort Siloso were on display, complete with the sounds of barrack life…and a sensor to prevent unwanted entry into the set….but we managed to get around it by doing the labamba.
Sorry sir, we don't know how to remove that crusty stain. You should've given it to us the moment you stained it la. Now it's too late.
Debz kena scolding from the ang moh officer - fussy fellow
Mama Debz cooking up a storm with her kitchen helper who isn't much of a help
Your cooking stinks!
Monkey faces
The troop ship was one of the better displays – IT WAS AIR CONDITIONED! I know, it’s bimbotic, but hey…it was a hot day :P
Shipmates! Onward to the shores of paradise!
That was the end of our mini excursion to Fort Siloso. We walked around the ferry terminal and basically fooled around with our cameras…
We were fortunate enough to catch the macaws performing! They were so colourful - there were green birds, red birds and of course blue birds. haha Their level of intelligence really blew me off. One of them can even count! Imagine that! I think if it were properly trained, it could take over my job…
Hang on!
Birds of the same feather perform together
Special thanks go out to you babes…next time, it’ll be the MacRitchie tree top walk eh? ;)
