Familiar with the saying "all good things must come to an end"? We've all heard it some point in our lives haven't we? The pessimistic part of me feels so, but the optimistic one says if it doesn't end, how can the better one start? :)
I couldn't have asked for a better working environment in Sox**. My prayers were answered, to say the least! My relatively short stint on site proved to be a positive working experience. Colleagues became friends and work went beyond a sense of duty. We ate, worked and played together. We'd even know what the other was gonna order before they opened their mouths! 2 cups of teh si...bubble milk tea with 3 cubes of ice...sandwiches...(And by play, I meant badminton, bowling and pool la! What were you thinking? Tsk tsk...)
At the start of my last week on site, I was feeling a mixture of emotions. Excited at the thought of starting anew at my dream company, but afraid that I will fall short of expectations. Happy to embrace new challenges, but sad that I would be leaving this bunch of kopi-kias. So I tried to hold onto every moment. Futile. The more I tried to hold onto it, the faster time slipped by. And before I knew it, the week came and went and it was time to bid farewell. A bittersweet farewell.
A big thank you to all of you for making my work experience in Sox** so memorable...the bicycle rides to lunch, the casual conversations, the laughter, the jokes and even the complaints shared on the 5th floor...Indeed, my learning was not only confined to the technical aspect, but to life in general.
Thank you and farewell. I will see you guys around soon...badminton, ktv, bowling or pool. Or even just kopi :)
