Looking back, I would say that 2006 was a year of changes for me.
From having doubts with my relationship with bb to contemplating a 100% change in my career, 2006 had it ups and downs. But with each "down", the upturn kept getting better and better, so it is with much excitement, anticipation and joy that I welcome the year 2007!
I credit the upturn of events to this one verse in Matthew 6:33 "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
My relationship with bb went from in the dumps, to the trumps! :) It wasn't easy, but we came out of it evermore sure of each other because we place our faith in Him, not each other.
Career-wise, I'm doing what I like - project management. My work place is only a 5 min drive from home! Just when I thought things were more or less settled at work, I mean, the prospects seemed much better, plus my colleagues are a smash to work with, life just throws another surprise at me. If you enjoy your work regardless of your company, it's a bonus. However if you get to do what you enjoy in your dream company, that is something altogether! So starting sometime in early 2007, I would be leaving my current company and start anew in EM. It's gonna be further away from home, more competitive, but I daresay, more satisfying? :)
2006 has been great! 1 Peter 2:6 "For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
My only resolution for 2007 is that I learn to rest in Him. 1 Peter 5:5-7 "Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
My wish for you this year is for you to know Jesus because everything else will just fall into place :)
